March 31 (Saturday): Spring Board Meeting, Inn at Goose Creek, 1720 Canyon Road, Ellensburg, WA 98926, 1-800-533-0822. The meeting is at 11:00 a.m.
April 2: Mail your application for the Kittitas Workshop. It must be postmarked on this day (and you must already have been a member since before the 2/28/2012 deadline) in order to get prioity for your first choice class.
June 7, 8, 9: Dist. 15 Campout, Sequim Prairie Grange
July 23-27: WOTFA State Fiddle/Guitar Workshop, Kittitas

February 4: WOTFA members Phil & Vivian Williams present “Fiddle Music of the Civil War” - the tunes, their stories, and quotes from Civil War accounts and journals of the fiddling done by the ordinary soldiers and for the dances, military and civilian - at the Fairwood Library, 17009 140th SE, Renton, WA, at 2:00 pm. February 12 (Sunday): Stuart Williams will be fiddling for the Second Sunday Open Band Contra dance in Seattle at Gift of Grace Lutheran Church - 2102 N 40th, Seattle (Wallingford Neighborhood). Musicians are welcome to join him and make a big old fiddle band, enjoy the dancing and try their hands at calling. A potluck at 5:00 kicks it off with dancing from 6:00 to 8:30. February 18: Spirit of the West Fiddle Contest in Ellensburg, Washington. Six divisions: Small Fry, Junior-Junior, Adult, Senior, and Championship plus a special "Mystery Division"! Prize money! Trophies! Awards to 10 places in Small Fry division! Fiddle workshops held the evening before with Grand National Fiddle Champion Katrina Nicolayeff. February 18 - 20: The Icicle Creek Center for the Arts (formerly Icicle Creek Music Center) in scenic Leavenworth, WA, is proud to present the 2nd annual Winter Fiddle Fest, February 18th – 20. Classes, tutorials, band labs and dancing with fiddlers Sarah Comer & Stuart Williams, guitarist David Cahn and caller Sherry Nevins.
